From last Christmas, on a very chilly Winter night.
Me and my KITCHEN.LABEL comrades put up a sold-out label showcase at the Waseda Scott Hall in Tokyo. It had always been a dream to play here.
The grand piano, the string quartet, our guitars, my voice… they rang sonorously, to the ceilings, the stained glass windows. It was a cold night indeed but I slmost felt a fiery warmth, which sent all the blood to my face, from various things… People gathered, huddled side by side on the church benches, below and above the stage just to listen. The support from friends, partners and the staff who ultimately formed the backbone of the show. Fellow musicians, including those whom I reunited with on this night since we last met during the recording of
A LITTLE FABLE”.
